PORT TOWNSEND — Shantala will lead a kirtan concert at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The kirtan, or sacred chanting, will be at Unity Port Townsend, 3918 San Juan Ave., Port Townsend.

Shantala, composed of Benjy and Heather Wertheimer, will be joined by David Michael, Steve Gorn, Sean Frenette and vocalist Kristin Wheary.

Kirtan, traditionally, is an Indian music form of devotional group singing and celebration of spirit that invites the audience to participate fully.
