The signs have appeared on the refrigerator again.
One contains food words, all preceded by the word “no.”
It goes like this: “No bread. No grains. No rice. No potatoes. No sweets. No alcohol. No dairy. No beans.”
No fun. The list is printed on a piece of red paper, screaming out to me to stop thinking about eating whatever I was thinking about eating.
Which won’t be in the refrigerator anyway, because the same person who put up the red sign is also the same person who stocks the fridge.
That would be Bess.
There’s also a green sign, which means go. And I won’t lie, there are some good things on that list: Meat, eggs, fish, fruit and nuts.
Green vegetables are also on the list. Note that I didn’t include them among the good things.
