CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The man wanted for the brutal stabbing death of a Cincinnati business owner is under arrest, police announced late Thursday.
Mordecia Black, 38, of Spring Grove Village, is accused of breaking into Patrick Heringer’s residence on East McMicken Avenue early Wednesday and stabbing him multiple times, including in his neck, before fleeing, court records show.
Heringer, 46, was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and founder of the Findlay Movement gym about a mile away from his home in Over-the-Rhine.
Black was booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center at 10:18 p.m. Thursday on charges of murder and aggravated burglary.
He was held overnight without bond and will appear before a judge
