Do not sleep on Coastal Carolina baseball.

While the Chanticleers are not a household name, they have more College World Series national championships than their SEC opponent and travel to play No. 4 Auburn in the Auburn Super Regional. No. 13 Coastal Carolina swept its way through the Conway Regional, pushing its winning streak to 21 games.

Back in the super regionals for the first time since 2016, Auburn will have its hands full with the Chanticleers, starting at 10 p.m. Friday at Plainsman Park in Auburn, Alabama. First-year coach Kevin Schnall has left off where legendary coach Gary Gilmore left off, leading Coastal Carolina to 51 wins thus far in 2025. Gilmore led the Chanticleers to 1,114 wins.
