ELK GROVE, Calif. —
Former Pleasant Grove ace, Madeline Lawson is a major threat in the circle as a four-year starter for the Eagles.
“My senior season went by too quick,” said Lawson.
She led the Delta league in strikeouts with 157 while notching more than 600 for her career.
“I really practice work on my velocity, my spin and pitch sequences while working on how to keep batters off balance,” Lawson added.
She’s also dangerous with the bat after leading Pleasant Grove in RBI and doubles this past season.
“I love my inside pitches, but I can also hit outside and anything close while swinging for the fences,” she said.
Not only does Lawson have the skills and the bat, she also has the brains as he will be attending Columbia University in the fall after holding down a 4.5 GPA.
