Northwest Guilford placed 12 players from its boys and girls teams on the North Carolina Lacrosse Coaches Association all-region teams that were released this week.

The Vikings’ programs had six selections apiece. Both teams reached the 4A fourth round and had records of 20-5 and 16-5, respectively. From those teams, Northwest had one boys first-team all-region selection in junior long stick midfielder Tre Parrett and one girls first-team pick in senior midfielder Sophia Apple , who has signed to play at East Carolina and holds the program’s individual career records for goals, assists and points.

According to MaxPreps, Apple has the most goals in the state with 160, and most points with 223. The totals don’t include the fourth-round game against Weddington.
