MARSHALL — Class of 1979 Marshall High School graduate Juan “Armando” Minniefield is making international connections, most recently traveling to the nation’s capital where he was named liaison to the ambassador for a Central African country.

“We are looking at the possibilities of my country, Equatorial Guinea, being better known in the United States for its natural beauty, its culture, its security and its peace. And we want American companies and American tourists to visit Equatorial Guinea constantly,” said ambassador Dr. Crisantos Obama Ondo, who serves as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. “We are in Washington to facilitate travel and strengthen relations with American citizens.”
