To earn a spot in the Division III boys lacrosse championship game, all Narragansett had to do was put up at least as many goals in the fourth quarter as it did in the previous three and make sure it didn’t let Lincoln score another.

So that’s exactly what the Mariners did.

Narragansett’s waterfall of momentum started early in the fourth quarter and didn’t stop until Quincy Hammond finished off a fast break for the go-ahead goal with 1:29 left and goalie Trevor Bonner came up with a save in the final seconds to secure a 9-8 comeback win over the second-seeded Lions to earn the third-seeded Mariners a trip to Saturday’s Division III championship game.
