EVANSVILLE, Ind. — An Evansville man faces felony charges related to child pornography and soliciting minors for sexual acts.

According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher William Evans, 42, was taken into custody at his home Thursday following a months-long investigation that started in February.

A cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) led detectives assigned to the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force to investigate Evans for distributing suspected child sexual abuse material. Investigators say the tip identified an IP address associated with the app Kik that had been used to distribute suspected child sexual abuse material.
