The ruling only applies to the group of states that sued in April over the AmeriCorps cuts, saying that the cuts would "inflict immediate and irreparable harms" to people across the country.
Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul called on Congress to "step in and prevent the Trump administration from doing further damage to AmeriCorps."
A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to restore AmeriCorps programs in 24 Democratic-led states, including Wisconsin.
U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman in Baltimore issued a preliminary injunction June 5 requiring the administration to reinstate the grants in those states and the District of Columbia a restore the thousands of volunteer service workers who had been sent home.
The judge also barred those jurisdictions from blocking jo
