DOOR COUNTY (NBC 26) — Authorities recovered a female's body Wednesday evening in Door County.

The Door County Sheriff's Office says emergency crews found the body floating in the water near Little Strawberry Island in the Bay of Green Bay.

Deputies are not releasing the woman's name pending confirmation.

The Brown County Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an autopsy.
