Blayne Harrison took his first NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Leapfrog Lawncare & Landscaping Late Models race at Hickory Motor Speedway in a rain-shortened night at Hickory Motor Speedway on May 31.

Harrison paced qualifying and started from the pole position with Michael Bumgarner to his outside. Harrison, taking the low lane, battled Bumgarner on the high side for five laps before finally nosing ahead of him and into the lead. The two would be back door-to-door for several laps after a caution on lap 18.

Harrison used the high line to take the lead and drive off for his first late models win at Hickory. Bumgarner finished second, breaking his four race winning streak.
