23-year-old man fatally shot in Akron

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in Akron Thursday evening.

Akron Police Officers were called out to the 1100 block of Johnland Ave. around 9 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

The Summit County Medical Examiner said when officers arrived, they located the victim lying on the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner said his name will be released after he is positively identified.
