ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- Officers said suspects involved in a police chase crashed into a vehicle that had a newborn baby inside.
Quennie Rodriguez said there was a crash on Monday morning off North Cox Street.
Without thinking twice, she ran outside of her job at the Jason G. Goins Law Office to investigate.
"I heard screaming. I came running down, and something took over and just wanted to make sure they were OK," Rodriguez said.
The Asheboro Police Department said the crash was the result of two suspects on a crime spree who had made stops at several different businesses in different cities.
Officers responded to a larceny at the CVS on Dixie Drive. Once on the scene, the suspects were seen leaving, and a chase started.
