The alarm has been sounded over cost-cutting proposals that would impact vulnerable people and carers in a situation branded "awful" by a politician.

Stark detail has been published on a raft of measures suggested by Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) as it looks to claw back a multi-million-pound budget black hole. ‌

Documents released as part of the engagement process have provided grim substance to potential plans that were discussed at the integration joint board (IJB) – which oversees the HSCP – in December. ‌
