BOSTON —

A massive tree toppled onto vehicles and a building in South Boston early Friday.

It happened just after 5 a.m. at the corner of 8th and K streets. Video from the scene showed the tree uprooted and lying across the street and propped against a residence.

Boston police said the limbs also took down some power lines in the area.

There have been no reports of any injuries.

It's not clear what caused the tree to fall.

WCVB will have more information when it becomes available.
