Jazz Chisholm Jr. is back with the New York Yankees, and on his return, he got a front-row seat to another dominant outing by teammate Max Fried — a scoreless start with seven strikeouts, the kind of performance few pitchers on the roster can deliver.

After the game, Chisholm Jr. shared an interesting anecdote about Fried. Long before they were Yankees teammates, they faced off several times, and Chisholm didn’t hold back when describing how tough those matchups were.

“I feel like he does it every day,” Chisholm said. “I was in the same division as him before the rules changed so I was seeing him about 5-6 times a year and it wasn’t fun. I can imagine for other guys now they get to feel my pain.”
