PORTAGE, MI -- The circus is coming to Portage — this time with a watery theme.

The Cirque Italia Water Circus will be performing at The Crossroads mall in Portage at 6650 S. Westnedge Ave. from Friday, June 6, to Sunday, June 8, for six performances.

The show is “unlike anything you have ever seen before” and “family fun for all ages,” according to a press release from The Crossroads mall.

Inside the big top tent, there will be acrobatics, “death-defying stunts” and dancers in 1960s-era costumes. The platform they perform on is submerged in water. Water fountains are around the stage and rain-like water will fall from above the stage.

There will be one 7:30 p.m. performance on Friday, performances at 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and performances at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30
