FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) – Police officers fired shots at a group of suspects who tried stealing cars from an autobody shop in Queens early Friday morning, according to the NYPD.

Police said it happened near 33rd Avenue and Miller Street in Flushing around 5:30 a.m. A pursuit of the suspects was called off immediately after shots were fired, according to authorities.

Police said no one was struck and no injuries were reported. It's unclear how many suspects were involved in the incident and if any arrests have been made.

Four out of the five cars stolen from the shop have been recovered by authorities, sources told PIX11 News.
