PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - Drivers in the Portland metro area should be aware of two major roadway closures this weekend.

Starting Friday, June 6, at 9 p.m., OR-217 south will be closed between Canyon Road and OR 99W. All on-ramps and off-ramps will close from the Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway on-ramp to the OR 99W off-ramp.

The highway is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, June 9.

During the closure, crews will pave ramps, shoulders and new auxiliary lanes.

The Oregon Department of Transportation says this is the second of five weekend directional closures for OR-217.

ODOT is also closing westbound I-84 between I-205 and I-5 at midnight Saturday, June 7. The closure is expected to last until 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8.
