At least one person is dead after a vehicle hit a pedestrian in San Marcos, according to police.

San Marcos police say they are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident at Old Bastrop Highway and SH 123.

Police say that SH 123 heading into San Marcos is closed while authorities conduct their investigation into this incident.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
