EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — First responders were called to Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford overnight due to a hazmat situation, officials said.
East Hartford police said emergency crews responded to a level 2 hazmat situation overnight and cleared the scene just after 4 a.m.
Pratt & Whitney officials said the hazmat response was due to a "small, contained chemical spill" inside the building, and that no one was injured. Employees were seen entering the building on Friday morning.
A clean-up company, Clean Harbors, was called to the scene and was still there around 8 a.m.
