RICE LAKE, Wis. (WFRV) - Officers in one northwestern Wisconsin city arrested two drivers for OWI around midday on Thursday who admitted to recent meth use, and are reminding residents that impaired drivers are out at all times of the day.
A release from the Rice Lake Police Department states that officers arrested two drivers on June 5, one at 10:35 a.m. and the other at 12:10 p.m., for their seventh and sixth OWI offenses, respectively.
After the first traffic stop in Rice Lake that morning for 'multiple reasons,' including a stop sign violation, the officer noticed signs of impairment. The driver allegedly admitted to recent THC and methamphetamine use and was subsequently arrested for the 7th OWI offense.
