Ann Arbor City Council met at Larcom City Hall Monday evening to discuss community events and Green Rental Housing, as well as pass a library rezoning ordinance. The meeting began with an overview of events happening in Ann Arbor, including a celebration of A2Zero Week , the proclamation of June as Pride Month and the presentation of the annual Historic District Commission awards .

The meeting then moved to public comment. Ann Arbor resident Ginny Rogers, group leader for the Citizens’ Climate Lobby of Ann Arbor , spoke in favor of the Green Rental Housing ordinance , which would set a series of health, energy and sustainability standards for rental housing in Ann Arbor.
