Can you believe this is the 25th annual Christmas in July?

This year, Christmas in July will be in-person July 19, from 2-6 p.m. at Statesville Montessori School, 1012 Harmony Drive, Statesville. The online auction will run the week before the event.

Christmas in July began as a way to get through those lean summer months when the shelter typically receives less in the way of financial contributions. And so, we are hopeful you will consider a gift to continue supporting the homeless and hungry right here in our community. Here's a look at what the public's help allowed in the last year.

In FY 2023-2024, Fifth Street provided:

68,394 meals (30% increase)

3,286 food boxes (44% increase)

143 emergency shelter guests 8,363 shelter nights (3% increase)

496 night
