Driver critical following shooting in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) - A driver was in critical condition from a shooting that happened in New Haven on Thursday night.

According to police, the 45-year-old West Haven resident was found unresponsive and alone in a vehicle that had crashed into a couple of parked vehicles.

The vehicle was found crashed in the area of Grand Avenue and Fillmore Street around 11:35 p.m.

Police determined that the driver had suffered a gunshot wound.

He was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment.
