COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police are investigating an early morning shooting that has left one person dead and three injured in the Elmwood Park neighborhood in downtown Columbia. Meanwhile, the search is on for the suspect who police said is "armed and dangerous."
Columbia Deputy Police Chief Melron Kelly said that officers responded to the scene in the 2400 block of Lincoln Street around 5 a.m. and found 8 to 10 young adult outside of a home used as an Airbnb. The call was initially for a vehicle break-in, but officers found four people suffering from gunshot wounds inside the home.
