LIBERTY TWP., MI — Jackson drivers can expect traffic delays due to bridge maintenance starting Tuesday, according to The Michigan Department of Transportation.

MDOT will begin work at 7 a.m. June 10 on the U.S. 127 bridge over the Grand River south of Jackson and near Clark Lake in Liberty Township. The maintenance is scheduled to end Aug. 27, MDOT announced.

One lane of U.S. 127 will be closed in each direction over the river, and Jefferson Road will be closed west of U.S. 127, from Gates Road to U.S. 127. Drivers can follow detours along South Jackson Road, Crouch Road, and Weatherby Road to U.S. 127.
