Mt. Juliet and Lebanon are moving forward on safety plans after each was awarded Safe Streets and Roads for All grants.

Mt. Juliet and Lebanon are identifying their most dangerous roads and prioritizing them as the cities work to develop separate road safety action plans in conjunction with a federal grant program.

Both cities were awarded a Safe Streets and Roads for All grant in order to develop safety plans to reduce the risk of deaths and serious injuries. The action plans lead to a city’s eligibility for implementation grants through the program, said Kristen Rice, Lebanon's executive director of engineering and planning.
