AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Hope and Healing Place announced it is set to open its doors for the Hope Camp 2025 event, a free four-day summer camp designed for kids who have experienced the death of someone close to them.
According to officials, the camp is scheduled for July 8-9, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to heal through a movie-themed program called "Hope Camp at the Movies." The program will feature stories such as Finding Nemo, Frozen, The Lion King, and Up. Campers will explore significant feelings, including sadness, bravery, and belonging, in a safe and supportive environment. Through crafts, games, conversations, and connections, children will be gently guided towards hope and reminded that they are not alone.
