SOUTHBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A Southbury man accused of creating child sexual abuse material of a juvenile girl was hit with a $32 million civil judgment last month.

Edgar Mills, 75, was arrested last year on dozens of sexual assault and child pornography charges after police allegedly found a barn on his property where he's accused of producing and storing child pornography.

The lawsuit- filed by father "John Doe" on behalf of "Jane Doe"- claimed Mills sexually assaulted her in the barn multiple times between September 2021 and December 2024.

"(Mill's) conduct was extreme and outrageous in that he sexually assaulted the minor plaintiff on multiple occasions and he created and distributed child sexual abuse material of the minor plaintiff," the lawsuit states.
