LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)-- Thor, a Michigan State Police K-9 officer, is back on the job after he was rushed to the Michigan State University Veterinary Clinic last week after ingesting poison while conducting a search in Lapeer County.
Police say Thor was helping deputies respond to a breaking-and-entering call. While searching a barn, he ingested some poison. They specified he did not ingest narcotics.
He was initially taken to a veterinarian for emergency treatment, but he was later transported to the Michigan State University Veterinary Clinic.
Thor was held at the clinic for observation that day, and MSP took to Twitter Monday afternoon to announce that Thor was at home and recovering.
