Sharon Leighe Nelson, 67, of Williamsburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Riverside Doctors’ Hospital.

Born in Williamsburg, she was raised in North Carolina, Hawaii, Virginia Beach, and Hampton, Virginia, graduating in 1976 from Bethel High School. During an extended career with IBM, Sharon resided in North Carolina, Maryland, and New York before resettling in Virginia. She loved to travel and was known for her intelligence, quick wit, generosity, and cheerful disposition.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Ann Nelson, who passed away in November 1998, her father, Bennie Lee Nelson, Sr., who passed away in December 2002, and her brother, Randall Theron Nelson, who passed away in September 2002.
