CARROLL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Maryland State Police (MSP) are investigating after a crash on Route 30 in Carroll County sent four people to the hospital Friday morning.

Details remain limited; however, state police told DC News Now that the crash happened around 7:48 a.m., near N Hucksville Road. There, three vehicles had collided.

As a result, three people were flown to a shock trauma center in Baltimore, and one person was taken to a hospital in Westminster for treatment.

Their conditions are currently unknown.

As of 10 a.m., all lanes were blocked in both directions on Route 30 as state troopers worked to learn what led up to the collision.

All drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes until the crash is cleared.
