The Dallas Stars have fired Pete DeBoer after three seasons with the team, each ending in a defeat in the Western Conference Finals, the last two of which came against the Edmonton Oilers.
DeBoer led the team to a 149-68-29 record in his three regular seasons at the helm and a 29-27 record in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
However, the Canadian native failed to get the stars back to their first Stanley Cup Final since the team’s 2019 loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Stars General Manager Jim Nill explained why the team moved on from DeBoer.
