Coronation Street fans have been sharing their adoration for fan-favourite Alison King as they hailed one of her on-screen partnerships, but not with Lisa Swain.

The actress, who has played the role of the Underworld factory boss in the ITV soap since 2006, was among the cast of the long-running show sharing their praise and love for David Neilson as he picked up a new award.

The actor, 76, has spent an incredible three decades in the role of Roy Corpper - the ITV soap's much-loved cardigan-wearing café owner - having made his debut on the cobbles back in July 1995.

It was Julie Hesmondhalgh, who played on-screen wife Hayley Cropper in Corrie, who was on hand to present David with the Outstanding Achievement award at this year's British Soap Awards 2025.
