LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Ahead of Friday night’s match-up against the Utah Royals, Racing Louisville acquired goalkeeper Cristina Roque in a trade for $50,000 in allocation funds.

Roque and Racing Louisville agreed to a contract through the 2026 season.

“I just try to stay in that mindset of always trying to learn new things and trying to be the best I could be for the team,” explained Roque when talking about her time with the Utah Royals and Florida State University.

She helped the Seminoles win the NCAA Division 1 Women’s Championships in 2021 and 2023; she was also named ACC goalkeeper of the year in 2022.
