HARTVILLE, Mo. – A 65-year-old Mansfield man who pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a child in their home was sentenced on Thursday, June 5, to five years in prison.
Wayne Shockey was handed two five-year sentences on counts of second-degree statutory rape, but they are to be served concurrently, according to online court records.
He was accused in 2020 of abuse against a 12-year-old girl at an unoccupied house he was renting in Mansfield.
Shockey is also facing similar charges alleging sexual abuse against a 14-year-old girl in Webster County, court records show.
In 2023, he was indicted by a grand jury on charges of statutory sodomy, statutory rape and sexual exploitation of a minor child in Seymour in 2017 and 2018.
He is set for trial on those charges in August 2025 in Laclede Coun
