VAN BUREN, Ark. — During the morning hours, a complex system of storms moved in from Oklahoma, bringing heavy rain and damaging wind gusts that reportedly developed into one tornado near Sallisaw and another tornado in Crawford County.

Once the system moved over the Arkansas-Oklahoma border, another possible tornado was reported before 8 a.m., south of Alma.

According to Crawford County Emergency Management, 46 structures were damaged in Van Buren, and a major gas leak was reported. Crews are currently on scene working to clear paths for emergency vehicles, but there are no reported injuries.
