CHIMNEY ROCK, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - Nine months after Chimney Rock State Park was devastated by Hurricane Helene, the community is preparing to celebrate a significant milestone.
The state park will reopen on Jun 27.
“The reopening of this iconic park is another positive step toward recovery in western North Carolina,” said Pamela Chaswell, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
