BROOKLYN, MI -- Country singer and songwriter Ashley Cooke will perform in place of country star Nate Smith for the prerace show before the Sunday, June 8, FireKeepers Casino 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

Smith was scheduled to headline the performance during the Busch Light Summer Music Series, but his doctors put him on “strict vocal rest” through the end of June.

Cooke has been recognized as a rising star, winning an array of rookie awards and is a contender for Best New Country Artist at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
