Nearly 200 volunteers contributed to cleanup efforts along the Tennessee River and its tributaries, removing about 47,000 pounds of trash in waterways impacted by recent natural disasters.
As part of its seventh annual Tennessee River Grand Slam Cleanup Series, members of the nonprofit organization Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful spent more than two months picking up trash and debris in waterways impacted by Hurricane Helene.
