ASHEBORO, N.C. — A man was arrested after allegedly communicating threats of mass violence toward Uwharrie Charter Academy on Facebook.

According to his arrest warrant, Dakota Aldridge of Asheboro has been charged with one felony count of communicating threats of mass violence against an educational property. The warrant says Aldridge posted to Facebook the following:

"#ikyyk#hitlist#dontbeonit#uca"

The warrant says the initials UCA refer to Uwharrie Charter Academy, which is "the school of attendance for his child(ren)."

Aldridge was also served with an outstanding warrant for misdemeanor communicating threats related to a separate incident. He was given no bond and is set to appear in court on Friday.
