LAMONT, Fla. (WCTV) - Every month, WCTV heads to the Jefferson County non-profit and puts a spotlight on a different species at the wildlife conservation.
The North Florida Wildlife Center introduced us to Noodle and Doodle, two new baby emus, and WCTV’s Madison Glaser got to get up close and personal to learn all about them!
Founder and director of the North Florida Wildlife Center, Ryan Reines, said emus are one of the largest birds in the world.
“Emus are native to Australia,” said Reines. “They are flightless, like an ostrich and cannot fly.”
Noodle and Doodle came to the wildlife center from Zoo World in Panama City Beach.
“They are doing well and they are super friendly, especially with guests and people are really enjoying meeting them,” Reines said.
Reines said that Noodle
