CARBON COUNTY, Mont. – Adolfo Vargas-Lepe pled guilty to kidnapping a woman and her two children while trafficking drugs. He now faces life in prison and fines exceeding $10 million.

In 2017, Vargas-Lepe kidnapped the woman and her daughters, taking them to Mexico before returning to Montana. This led to a high-speed chase ending with his car rolling over and his subsequent arrest.

Authorities discovered 13 pounds of meth and cocaine, along with about 10,000 pounds of fentanyl pills in his possession. Vargas-Lepe's sentencing is set for late October.
