WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Members of the Williston Basin School District played show and tell Friday. Staff and members of the board got the chance to tour what will be the Sloulin Elementary school.

Construction started in October, and officials say they’re on schedule to finish in July of 2026.

Sloulin Elementary will provide room for up to 600 K-5 students. It should help the district with some of its overcrowding issues.

“We got kids coming here every day. Now that I’m over at the district office you see there’s kids every day showing up. Williston is booming so we need the room for sure,” said Jason Germundson, superintendent.

The $55 million elementary school will be open in time for the 2026-27 school year.
