Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew announced new steps to eliminate interprovincial trade barriers and reaffirmed the province’s economic resilience during remarks at the MBiz Breakfast Series hosted by the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce on Thursday.

The provincial government will sign a memorandum of understanding with British Columbia to advance free trade between the two provinces. Cabinet is also expected to pass regulations by July 1 that will ensure the mutual recognition of goods and services from other provinces — aligning with Canada Day.
