CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously injured in a stabbing in Uptown Charlotte on Friday, Medic said.

The incident happened along East Eighth Street, between North Davidson and North Alexander streets, around 11:30 a.m. Medic confirmed the victim was taken to Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

It's unclear if a suspect has been identified or if any arrests have been made. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police hasn't released any details about the stabbing.
