There are two systems brewing off the southern coast of Mexico that could strengthen into tropical depressions as soon as this weekend, the National Hurricane Center said Friday morning.

According to the hurricane center, showers and thunderstorms have "increased a little on the eastern side of a broad trough of low pressure" located a few hundred miles south of southern Mexico.
