BALTIMORE —
Between all the cookouts and parties, there are plenty of opportunities to "Eat Like a Marylander" this summer.
The Maryland Department of Agriculture's program helps visitors find a farm for produce or even ice cream, as well as pick up some seafood caught by local watermen.
"Of course, supporting your community supporting, your neighbors, it's those jobs for the farmers, the watermen. We also want to make sure we're keeping our dollars here locally in the state, but also, it tastes better. A lot of stuff, when it's fresher, it has nutrients in there, but it has a better taste to it," said Matthew Scales, with the Maryland Department of Agriculture.
